Security drills - to ensure effective civilian response in case of a military or terrorist attack - will take place on Wednesday across nearly 300 'civil defence' districts, including 100 'highly sensitive' locations like national capital Delhi and nuclear plants, military bases, refineries, and hydroelectric dams.
State authorities will involve students and employees from government and private organisations, in addition to the police and paramilitary forces for these drills, the first since the 1971 war with Pakistan.
