Chef Preview: Saif Ali Khan's Hollywood-To-Bollywood Recipe

New Delhi: Saif Ali Khan's Chef is all set to hit the screens tomorrow, are you all set to savor Bollywood's latest recipe? Chef is the official remake of Jon Favreau 2014 film of the same name, which was well-received by critics and also performed well at the US box office. Chef is the story of New York's top chef, Roshan Kalra, who becomes a nobody overnight after a food critic slams his style of cooking and best dishes. After a social media show down with the food critic, Roshan is left with no other option than to move out of New York. He takes this as an opportunity to reconnect with his son, who stays in India with his mother, also Roshan's ex-wife. They embark on a road trip in a food truck, which is symbolic journey in more ways than one.

Chef is Saif Ali Khan's second release of the year. He was seen in February's flop film Rangoon, co-starring Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor. Saif earlier told mid-day that the success of the Raja Krishna Menon-directed film is important of him else he'll have to "question what is going wrong with my career. It affects my image of being a star, because a star is supposed to be bankable. Yet, it doesn't affect my confidence."

Chef received a 'U/A' certification from the Central Board Of Film Certification because apparently the protagonist is a divorcee and he smokes in the film. "Apparently you can't have a hero separated from his wife and smoking in a 'U' film," Raja Krishna Menon told The Quint.

Chef also stars Padmapriya Janakiraman, Dhanish Karthik, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Neha Saxena.
