- Donald Trump has denied the involvement of the US in the recent Israeli strikes on Iran.
- President Trump warned Iran of severe consequences if it attacks the US in "any form".
- Israeli forces claim to have struck key Iranian military and nuclear targets in Tehran.
President Donald Trump on Sunday said that the US had "nothing to do" with the overnight attack on Iran, hours after Israel claimed an "extensive series of strikes" on the headquarters of the Iranian Defence Ministry and a nuclear project.
President Trump also warned Iran that the "full strength and might" of the American Armed Forces will "come down on you at levels never seen before" if it tries to attack the US.
"The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before," he posted on Truth Social.
He also said he can "easily" get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and "end this bloody conflict".
A round of US-Iran nuclear talks that was due to be held in Oman on Sunday was cancelled. President Trump on Friday urged Tehran to reach a deal with the US on its nuclear program, adding that "Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left."
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) early Sunday said it completed an "extensive series of strikes on targets in Tehran related to the Iranian regime's nuclear weapons project".
The targets included the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Defence and the SPND nuclear project, it said in a post on X. The IDF said it also struck the place where Iran "hid its nuclear archive".
Air raid sirens were also sounded across Jerusalem and Tel Aviv after Iran launched a new wave of attacks. Iran's Revolutionary Guards said Iranian missiles and drones targeted Israel's energy infrastructure and facilities for fighter jet fuel production.
At least seven people were reportedly killed, including a 10-year-old boy and a woman in her 20s, in Israel.
The Middle East is on the edge after the Israeli military launched Operation "Rising Lion" and struck Iran's nuclear and military sites on Friday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the operation was launched to "roll back the Iranian threat to Israel's very survival".
"This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat," he said on Friday.
Israel said its strikes have killed top generals, and also senior scientists and experts involved in Iran's nuclear program.
Mr Netanyahu on Saturday said the Israeli strikes had set back Iran's nuclear programme possibly by years.
"We will hit every site and every target of the Ayatollahs' regime, and what they have felt so far is nothing compared with what they will be handed in the coming days," he said in a video message.
