Sourav Ganguly Played Gali Cricket And The Videos Are Now Viral

A sight for sore eyes, this. If you've missed watching one of India's favourite and most successful captains in action, here's a little treat. Cricket icon Sourav Ganguly was captured on camera playing gali cricket in the streets of Kolkata recently and the videos have gone viral.

In a post shared by Kolkata-based photographer Anirban Charan on December 2, Dada, as Sourav is popularly called, can be seen batting in one of the city's bylanes. The videos, 10 in number, have amassed hundreds of reactions and views, while the post has received over 3,700 shares on Facebook.

"Dada playing some awesome cricket shots for shooting.. (VIDEO) captured by me," Mr Charan says on his post, suggesting it could all be a part of an ad campaign or the like.

Dressed in a black jacket and grey trousers, Dada can be seen tackling delivery after delivery as children stand around him as fielders. You can also see several people, like Mr Charan, capturing the scene on their camera phones. We're sure no one in the neighborhood would mind a window pane broken by the Prince of Kolkata.
