Blue Monday? Read This Story of Athlete Who Lost Race But Won Hearts

Almost every Monday, people of the Internet seem to be looking for something, anything, to motivate them into making it through the day and the rest of the week alive (noticed how #MondayMotivation trends every week?). Well, here's one story that'll keep you going for the entire year, hell, even your lifetime possibly.

Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Enterprises, tweeted this throwback picture of Kenyan marathoner Jacqueline Nytepi Kiplimo passing a drink of water to a differently-abled fellow runner. "She lost and came second. But humanity won," he wrote.

According to The San Francisco Globe, the image dates back to 2010's Zhengkai International Marathon in China. Ms Kiplimo chanced upon the runner at around the 10-kilometer mark of the race and noticed he was severely dehydrated. So she accompanied him to the 38-kilometer mark until he had recovered enough to finish by himself.

Ms Kiplimo finished second but, like Mr Goenka tweeted, it was really she who won.
