Pregnant Cardi B's Fierce Performance At Coachella Won Hearts

Coachella is only halfway through and yet, the music festival has brought us so many exhilarating moments. There was Beyonce taking the stage as the first black woman headliner of the festival, a 11 year old little yodeler and even rumours of romance swirling under the Californian sun (we're looking at you, Tyga and Iggy). However, a strong, spell-binding performance trumps all of that and that place of pride from weekend one of Coachella 2018 belonged to Cardi B.

But before we delve into her performance, it's important to note that Cardi B announced her pregnancy just days ago. She is due with her first child with rapper Offset, who also performed a set at Coachella. But that didn't hold her back from putting up one of the best performances of her life and giving the audience what they paid for.

Crossing the half an hour mark, Cardi busted out tunes from her new album Invasion of Privacy, which was announced as no. 1 on the Billboard 200 list; yet another testament to the woman's talent and popularity. Her pregnancy was announced just a week prior to Coachella on SNL so fans assumed the hitmaker would take it easy. Far from it, though. Through the set, Cardi was bursting with energy, hopped all around the stage and belted it out with a cheery smile. But it would be incomplete if we didn't mention the moves this girl got. She dropped it low and twerked like it was no one's business, all while pregnant. Accompanying her set were artists Chance the Rapper, G-Eazy, 21 Savage and Kehlani, all of whom helped raise the metaphorical roof at the festival.

Along with dancers all clad in white, Cardi B wore a strapless white jumpsuit with sheer panels and an oversized coat. Her face was bedazzled and she wore her hair in two pigtails, paying homage to Left Eye from the girl group TLC.

Only going by her massively popular, energetic performance, you wouldn't even have thought Cardi B was pregnant. Looks like her second weekend has big shoes to fill.
