Vidyadhar Amrite, a retired professor who is also a member of Mumbai Geography Teachers Association, has pointed out that the Mediterranean Sea has been shown as a landmass in the textbook.

He also pointed out that Kanheri caves, located inside the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in Borivali in Mumbai, has been shown located off coast.
"We have taken cognisance of the mistakes and I have summoned a meeting of members who were involved in preparing the textbook. Depending on their feedback, next decision will be taken and if necessary the mistakes will be rectified," said Sunil Magar, Director of Balbharti.
