Am well enough to fast, please ensure there is no violence: Anna

Ralegan Siddhi: Before heading to Mumbai for his three-day fast, Anna Hazare spoke to reporters at Ralegan Siddhi. Here are the highlights:

• I was not well for two days, but I'm now better and can fast
• They live in air-conditioned rooms 24 hours a day and hence don't remember what the poor people have to suffer because of corruption
• We will stage a dharna for three  days outside Sonia Gandhi's house
• The nation saw what happened at Ramlila Maidan during Baba Ramdev's fast.   Sleeping women were lathicharged.
•  We know that they might try to do something like that with us as well.  But I am not afraid of death. Instead of dying of a heart attack, I will be fortunate if I die serving the country. God has given me a bonus (my age) and I will keep fighting as long as I am alive.
• I appeal to the people of the nation - there should be no violence. We should follow the path of ahinsa during our protest
