xXx 3 In India: 5 Things Vin Diesel Said About Deepika Padukone

New Delhi: The xXx-fest in India has revealed at least this - Vin Diesel thinks the world of Deepika Padukone, who makes her debut opposite him in xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage. The 49-year-old Hollywood actor, reprising the role that first made him a major star, is on a two-day trip to India with Deepika and their director DJ Caruso. The trio are promoting xXx 3 which releases here tomorrow and next week globally. Vin, Deepika and Mr Caruso exited their plane yesterday to a massive Bollywood-style welcome with dance, dhol and tika. A premiere of the film was held in Mumbai last evening where Vin Diesel won hearts by dancing to Deepika's Chennai Express hit Lungi Dance - wearing a lungi, no less. In between, they addressed the press and Vin, who greeted his heroine with a kiss, waxed eloquent about Deepika Padukone, 31.

 Deepika Padukone, who plays the very lethal special operative Serena Unger in xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, repaid her co-star's compliments by saying she was 'speechless' when she first met him and described him as a 'teddy bear.'

Both Vin and Deepika attended the press conference wearing Indian designers - he in a black outfit by Shantanu and Nikhil that seemed very suited to Xander Cage (a former extreme athlete who is now a government agent), she in a beaded and fringed Sabyasachi dress.

xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage premiered in Mexico and London before Mumbai. The cast includes Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Samuel L Jackson and Tony Jaa. India will watch the film tomorrow, the rest of the world on January 19.
