Twinkle Khanna Tweets About Vogue Cover With Fellow Ex 'Chubby Nerd' Karan Johar

New Delhi: Twinkle Khanna and Karan Johar - one of Bollywood's most loved set of BFFs - featured on a special cover of Vogue India together. Twinkle is clearly delighted to have covered October in style with Karan. How often do best friends get roped in for a cover feature together, after all? Twinkle, who previously revealed she is the only woman Karan has ever been in love with, went to the same school as the 45-year-old filmmaker did. Karan and Twinkle were school buddies at New Era High School in Panchgani. Reminiscing school days, when when Twinkle and Karan were apparently "chubby nerds", Twinkle tweeted: "As two chubby nerds in bursting uniforms in Panchgani, Karan and I couldn't have imagined being on the cover of Vogue together someday."

Twinkle was addressing the comments on her tweet when she also responded to the one that said: "Karan was always working towards that." She wrote: "That's entirely possible." This got Karan's notice, who quickly responded:

Glimpses of Twinkle Khanna and Karan Johar's real-life rapport were in plenty on the Koffee With Karan episode, with which Twinkle made her debut on the koffee couch. Karan, who tried his level best to abstain from face-palming, ended up doing just that a couple of times, including when Twinkle said: "When you started writing columns, they said that Karan Johar is the new Mrs Funnybones." Mrs Funnybones aka Twinkle was asked about the worst review of her as a columnist.

Twinkle and Karan often engage in hilarious Twitter conversations, referencing old memories just like when she rejected a role in Karan's debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. It is also famously known that Twinkle was originally offered the role that Rani Mukerji played in the movie.

The cover which Karan Johar features on also stars Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor in the same frame and is for a special October issue dedicated to the "Women Of The Year" (written in bold) and also "the men we love." A section of social media found a way to troll Karan for covering 'Women Of The Year' issue, questioning: "Why exactly is Karan Johar standing in the 'women we love' edition of Vogue?"

Vogue India is celebrating its tenth anniversary with three special covers, also featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Padma Lakshmi, Russian model Natalia Vodianova, Nita Ambani and Mithali Raj - the captain of the Women's Cricket Team.
