Ribbon Trailer: Kalki Koechlin Is Sumeet Vyas' New Permanent Roommate

New Delhi: Remember Sumeet Vyas of the popular web series Permanent Roommates? Arre Mikesh Chaudhary, yaar. Yes, the actor co-stars with Kalki Koechlin in a new movie titled Ribbon. The trailer of Ribbon arrived on the Internet on Tuesday and it's all about the "knotty turns and loose ends" of a young couple - Karan Mehra and Shahran Mehra - played by Sumeet Vyas and Kalki Koechlin respectively. "Aa gayi hamari 'real' trailer," Kalki tweeted along with the trailer. Helmed by Rakhee Sandilya, Ribbon is a slice of life movie, with which she is making her debut as a feature director.

The trailer of Ribbon begins with an agitated Shahran, who yells at Karan for the silliest of reasons. Soon, its revealed that Shahran is expecting her first baby and is experiencing pregnancy woes as the due date gets closer. Shahran is also battling stereotypical challenges at her work place while Karan is predominantly caught up with his work commitments. Their professional lives appear to take a toll on their personal space and things go awry. Glimpses of their conjugal woes are also punctuated by happy memories of welcoming a baby and how the two explore the challenges of the roles life has recently cast the in - they are newly-turned parents after all.

Ribbon, which appears to be a very realistic portrayal of relationships, arrives in theatres on November 3.
