Raksha Bandhan 2017: Shweta Bachchan's Gift From Brother Abhishek Is This Adorable Post

New Delhi: Abhishek Bachchan is winning Raksha Bandhan 2017 with an Instagram post dedicated to sister Shweta Bachchan Nanda that's both sweet and hilarious. The 41-year-old actor shared a throwback picture of himself and Shweta, the elder of the two Bachchan siblings, as little children, writing: "I'm pretty sure she still thinks I'm that same size and age... but am also sure she will always be there for me, as I will for her." How aww-dorable is that? And there's more. Abhishek's three other sisters - Naina, Namrata and Nilima, daughters of his uncle Ajitabh Bachchan - would not take kindly to having pictures of themselves as kids posted online. They would 'kill' him, Abhishek explained, adding, "Now that I think of it, my sister is going to have the same reaction. Remember girls, it's RAKSHAbandhan."

Abhishek in need of protection this Rakhi, not the other way round. "So cute," read one comment. "Aww, that's lovely," read another. Our sentiments exactly.

At 43, Shweta Bachchan Nanda is two years Abhishek's senior. Their parents are Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and, like them, Abhishek is an actor. Shweta, married to businessman Nikhil Nanda, is not and has said in the past that she would be alarmed if her teenaged daughter Navya Naveli expressed any acting ambitions, which she hasn't so far. The three Bachchan women - Jaya, Shweta and Navya - cut a fine picture at the Vogue Beauty Awards last week. Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also attended the event but separately.

The third generation of Bachchan siblings include Navya Naveli's brother Agastya and Aishwarya and Abhishek's daughter, five-year-old Aaradhya.
