New Delhi: Two of Karan Johar's favourite Students have been reported to be dating since they made their debut together in 2012. Are they simply good friends or there's more to their chemistry than meets the eye? Only Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt can tell, who are often spotted hanging out about Mumbai and attending parties together. Yesterday was one such night when Sidharth and Alia hung out together at Sanjay Kapoor's birthday bash in Mumbai. Netizens woke up to find pictures of the two from the bash on social media, making the Student Of The Year co-stars trend. Alia turned heads in a long kameez and lehenga in shades of gold and pista at the party while Sidharth stood out in bright red.

Alia Bhatt was actually party hopping on Monday night - she was also spotted letting her hair down at Ekta Kapoor's grand Diwali bash with other Bollywood biggies. For the Diwali party, Alia arrived with her best friend Akansha Ranjan.

Fans are always delighted to see Sidharth and Alia together but neither of the actors has addressed speculation about their relationship status. Earlier this year, a sharp response arrived from the actress' mother Soni Razdan, who told news agency PTI: "She loves her work, she is a confident and hard working girl. She is a young, normal girl. When she is free, it is her choice how she spends her time. Who she goes out with is her prerogative. Why can't she have a nice social life?"

Alia Bhatt is currently shooting for Meghna Gulzar's Raazi and for her next, has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra lined up for 2019. Sidharth Malhotra will next be seen in crime thriller Ittefaq and also has Aiyaary in the pipeline.
