Aamir Khan On Secret Superstar Poster, Finally. Trailer Out Soon

New Delhi: Thank you, Aamir Khan. The 52-year-old superstar shared a new poster of his new project Secret Superstar on Wednesday. The bigger surprise is that Aamir actually features on the poster along with Zaira Wasim, who plays the protagonist in the film. This is like a prefect remedy for our mid-week blues. Aamir also tweeted to say that the trailer of Secret Superstar is arriving later today. "Hey guys, the Secret Superstar trailer will be out at 6.30/45 pm today. Here is the poster of the film," Aamir tweeted. The actor's new project was announced with a teaser of Secret Superstar in December last year. Zaira is Aamir's co-star from 2016 blockbuster Dangal.

Aamir Khan, who is currently busy with the shooting schedule of his next Thugs Of Hindostan, has also been participating in promotional duties for Secret Superstar. He shared the first poster earlier this week, featuring a young girl with her back to the camera. It was presumed to be Zaira and Zaira it is as her onscreen persona from the film.

In Secret Superstar, Zaira features as an aspiring singer who faces resistance from her father but soon becomes a singing sensation on the Internet. Meanwhile, not much is known about Aamir's role except that he appeared as a punk rockstar in the teaser (which is also how he looks on the new poster).
 

Aamir Khan is also working with another Dangal co-star of his in Thugs Of Hindostan - Fatima Sana Shaikh. Aamir featured as Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat in the Nitesh Tiwari-directed film while Zaira played the younger version of daughter Geeta Phogat and Fatima as the grown-up wrestler. Zaira also won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress this year for her performance in Dangal.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar is scheduled for Diwali while Thugs Of Hindostan, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif, releases on Diwali next year.
