Arvind Kejriwal Tweets 'Truth Will Prevail'. Barbs Come From Kapil Mishra

New Delhi: After two days of furore over corruption allegations against him, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today broke his silence, saying "Truth will prevail". It drew a flurry of response from his sacked water minister Kapil Mishra, who accused him of playing the "game of majority," warned him of action and accused him of behaving like the BJP. One of the tweets even accused Aam Aadmi Party leaders Ashish Khetan, Raghav Chaddha and Sanjay Singh of using "illegal funds" for foreign tours.   

It started with a Hindi tweet from the Chief Minister that read: "Truth will prevail. It will start tomorrow with the special session of Delhi assembly".

"Play the game of majority... abuse me tomorrow as much as you can, but you will have to face probe," tweeted Mr Mishra, who despite his sacking as a minister and suspension from the party, is not barred from attending the assembly session tomorrow.

In his next few tweets, he warned that he would visit the Central Bureau of Investigation tomorrow to file First Information Reports against Mr Kejriwal.

The 36-year-old minister today said he has met the Delhi Police and the Anti-Corruption Bureau -- a claim that has been denied by agency chief MK Meena.

As an aside, Mr Mishra further tweeted: "I am doing what Arvind Kejriwal has been doing and he (Mr Kejriwal) is doing what Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley and Kapil Sibbal were doing".

The twitter war came hours after the Aam Aadmi Party suspended Mr Mishra, who, in a stunning allegation yesterday, said he saw Mr Kejriwal being given Rs 2 crore in cash by health minister Satyendar Jain. Mr Mishra has dared the party -- which has dismissed his allegations as "absurd" and "baseless" -- to expel him.

Mr Jain, the other man in the eye of the controversy along with Mr Kejriwal, has issued an emphatic denial. Mr Mishra has also accused Mr Jain of helping Mr Kejriwal's relative with a 50-crore deal.

"There is a limit to lying. I wasn't present at the Chief Minister's residence on 5 May, Friday, and I can prove it in many ways," Mr Jain said.

AAP has ripped into Mr Mishra for dragging Mr Kejriwal's relative, who had died this morning, into the controversy. "Have some humanity. Not even two hours after the cremation, allegations are being made against the person," said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
