Volvo Eicher Records 27.3 Per Cent Growth In April 2025

Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd. recorded sales of 6,846 units in April 2025 as compared to 5,377 units in April 2024, a growth of 27.3%. This includes 6,717 units of Eicher brand and 129 units of Volvo. Also, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 6,717 units in April 2025 as compared to 5,254 units in April 2024 representing a growth of 27.8%.

In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 6,257 units in April 2025 as compared to 4,898 units in April 2024, representing a growth of 27.7%. Talking about the exports, Eicher's trucks & buses recorded sales of 460 units in April 2025 as compared to 356 units in April 2024, representing a growth of 29.2%. Volvo trucks and buses recorded sales of 129 units in April 2025 as compared to 123 units in April 2024, representing a growth of 4.9%.

Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles Ltd is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited. In operation since December 2008, the company includes the complete range of Eicher branded trucks and buses, Volvo Buses, exclusive distribution of Volvo Trucks in India, engine manufacturing and exports for Volvo Group, non-automotive engines and Eicher component business.

The brand is also looking forward to entering the electric LCV market in India. Eicher has the Eicher Pro X Series is already in the market and more units are being manufactured at the brand's Bhopal factory. The Eicher Pro X Range with 2-3.5T is claimed to have the largest cargo loading space in the electric LEV segment.

Also, VECV is planning to expand its dealership in the country. The brand earlier stated that it will prefer getting its own showroom facility rather than dealing with old dealers already in the market.
