TVS, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer is working on diversifying its lineup in the country. The brand had previously showcased its Apache RTX ADV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, in January. Now, TVS is gearing up to take the wraps off the adventure motorcycle, as a test mule was spotted plying on the Indian roads. Also, the interesting part is that TVS MD Sudharshan Venu was in the rider's seat of the testing vehicle. In the spy shots the RTX is seen alongside the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, hinting that it is being benchmarked against the Himalayan.

The TVS Apache RTX Adv will compete closely with the KTM 390 Adventure, launched just a few months ago. The exact design and elements details of the adventure tourer have not been revealed yet. However, the test mule suggests it gets everything that suits the adventure tourer category. The TVS Apache RTX Adv gets a sharp front fascia, a tall stance, an upright riding position, knobby tyres, and an upswept exhaust. Also, the semi-faired body and a muscular fuel tank give it an aggressive appeal, overall.

The technical specs of the TVS Apache RTX are still unknown; however, it is likely to get a fully digital cluster, with Bluetooth connectivity, switchable ABS, traction control, cruise control, multiple riding modes, and more.

Talking about the powertrain, the TVS Apache RTX will be powered by the brand's all-new RT-XD4 engine, earlier displayed at the MotoSoul 2024. It gets a 299cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve motor that is capable of churning out a peak power and torque output of 35 bhp and 28.5 Nm, respectively. The RT-XD4 engine will work in conjunction with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and a bi-directional quickshifter.
