Ranger Killed By Tiger In Ranthambore. Has Feeding Disrupted Behaviour?

Tragic news from Ranthambore, tiger lovers are shocked by the killing of 40-year-old forest ranger Devendra Chaudhary by a tiger in on Sunday. He was killed next to the famous Jogi Mahal a few minutes after getting off of his jeep and walking to a site. More disturbing, this is the second death in tiger attack within a month, suspected to be by the same sub adult tiger. Dharmendra Khandal of TigerWatch NGO blames the baiting of tigress Arrowhead by the Forest Department, alleging she was being provided live bait as she may have been suffering from an ailment. But this act has actually changed the behaviour of her cubs who then got habituated to this weekly feeding. This could have led to the attack on the forest ranger. For the moment a committee has been set up, the area closed for tourists. But officials in Jaipur have currently not agreed to move out the problem tiger. Dharmendra Khandal suggest 2 sub adults could have been involved in the killing. NDTV's Gargi Rawat breaks it down. Watch!
