One in Next Five Years May Be Hottest Ever: Report
A new report says there is an 80% chance the next five years will include the hottest year ever recorded. There's an 86% likelihood that one year will breach the 1.5°C Paris Agreement limit, with a 70% chance that average warming between 2025-2029 will exceed 1.5°C. Long-term warming may stay below 1.5°C, but Arctic warming will outpace the global average.
