Hubballi Family Recalls Narrow Escape From Pahalgam Attack, Landslides
While trekking along a mountain trail in Pahalgam on horseback, none of the members of the Shettar family could have imagined just how close they were to a deadly tragedy. The large group, hailing from Hubballi in Karnataka, had arrived in Kashmir on April 11th for a vacation. It was only after the family had left the region that they learned the horrifying news. On April 22, terrorists had opened fire near a meadow close to Pahalgam, killing 26 people most of them tourists.
