A London-bound Air India flight carrying 242 passengers crashed in Ahmedabad shortly after take-off. At least 7 families in Leicester had relatives as passengers on AI 171. Emergency visas have been issued to British nationals to travel to India and share DNA samples of their family members. At least 50 prayer meetings have been organised across community centres & temples in the UK.
