The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said on Thursday that it has arrested an executive director of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Itanagar and five employees of a private company based in Noida in a bribery case.

Work to generate 500 Megawatt power at Kudankulam begins

With the atomic energy regulator's clearance to gradually increase power generation levels to 500 Megawatt at the first unit of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) in Tamil Nadu, the Nuclear Power Corp of India (NPCIL) hopes to connect the plant to the grid this month end, said officials.
