2G case: Supreme Court dismisses review petitions filed by govt, telecom companies

In a setback for the government, the Supreme Court has dismissed the Centre's review petition over strictures against officials of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) that was part of its judgement in connection with the 2G case earlier this year.

2G case: Review petitions filed by govt, telecom companies in Supreme Court today

The Supreme Court will today hear review petitions filed by the Centre and various telecom companies in the 2G judgements it delivered earlier this year. These review petitions will, however, not be heard in the open court as a convention, but will be decided in the chambers of Judges Justice GS Singhvi and Justice KS Radhakrishnan.

Raja asks Supreme Court to review cancellation of 122 licences

Former Telecom Minister A Raja has asked the Supreme Court to review its decision that cancelled 122 mobile network licences issued by him. The verdict, delivered on February 2, has caused panic attacks for India Inc; it also has the government searching for exigent clarifications.

2G: Delay over OK to prosecute Raja haunts Govt, may seek review of Supreme Court order

The government is likely to seek a review of the January 31 Supreme Court verdict that ruled any citizen has the right to seek the prosecution of a public servant, based on charges of corruption. The Supreme Court's verdict was based on a petition filed by Subramanian Swamy.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sought Attorney General GE Vahanvati's opinion on the Supreme Court's order on 2G spectrum allocation. Sources tell NDTV that the Prime Minister has sought a response on whether the government needs to file a review petition and if any action needs to be taken against officials of the Prime Minister's Office.
