Bridal entries are pretty common today but we promise you the latest in line is nothing like what you've seen before. Amareen Khuraana or the 'Bride on Wheels' surprised her would-be-husband Sahil Bhagat and guests at her sangeet with a performance showcasing not only her dance skills but, even her roller skating skills that were bound to go viral on the internet. In the video, Amareen was seen in a beautiful champagne-coloured sparkling lehenga custom-made by designer Seema Gujral and bedazzling roller skates. According to her wedding choreographers at All About Dance, it took her more than a few practice sessions to get this right. "Finding the right balance between emotion and practicality, we worked to constantly filter this performance to look beautiful and effortless on stage...And the rest is history!!" In conversation with NDTV Swirlster Amareen said, "I took somewhere close to a month to practice 'dance on skates' performance. First learning the choreography without the skates, then practising it in casual clothes with the skates on, then attempted multiple times in a lighter lehenga with the skates below and then finally one grand rehearsal with my actual Seema Gujral sangeet lehenga weighing over 15kgs and my roller skates below that! I made it a point to practice my spins and every possible combination of movement with that weight on while having the wheels below".

Amareen commented, "I wanted to surprise @sahilbhagat because even though he knows I skate, he hasn't seen me perform in person ever and the last place he would ever expect to see it is with me in a heavy bridal lehenga at our sangeet!." Sahil's reaction was priceless and to say that the joy and excitement on his face while witnessing this incredible surprise from his talented bride-to-be is an understatement. The skater bride continued, "the anxiety of attempting this in my bridal lehenga was real but just seeing the reaction on @sahilbhagat's face made it totally worth it!" Who can deny that?
For the record, Amareen Khuraana has admitted to being a professionally trained roller skating champion who has won many medals at the National level. While she set the stage on fire with her incredible performance, she looked equally graceful in a beautifully embellished lehenga. The overall outfit was a cross between two designs from the designer's recent collection which was further customised with sheer detachable shoulder trails that allowed her free-flowing movements during her sangeet performance. Her custom roller skates have an interesting story too. "I tried my roller skates well in advance to check if I still fit into them. Once I grew comfortable, I asked my local tailor to create a cover with a stretchable fabric with sequins on it that complimented my sangeet outfit." Not only is Amareen a fashionable bride, but a sustainable one too.
Amareen Khuraana, apart from being a star skater, is an entrepreneur. She owns Brewlette, an Indian gourmet tea company that creates 100% natural brews made using whole-leaf tea and natural ingredients and has developed a niche in corporate gifting and wedding favours. We asked her if her business has gotten a boost after her viral dance video and her response was, "Yes of course, I have received so many requests on Instagram, not just on my private profile, but also seen an increase in traction on my business account. In fact, with all the virality, I am even considering creating a public account with the tag "@thebrideonwheels" as that is what I am coming to be recognized as in the past few days alone! I am truly overwhelmed with the response I have received from the video and would love to share my journey further of all things relating to my roller skating and wedding on this new @thebrideonwheels public Instagram page. I anyway have an Instagram handle for my tea brand, Brewlette @brewletteco which is active and open to all. So let's see how this one plays out too"
People were quick enough to applaud her unique performance, which was evident in the comments. One user responded to the post with, "Kudos, delighted to watch this", and another one wrote, "Superb", while another, more cautious comment read, " It's amazing, gurl you rock but be safe"
There are so many ways to get creative and surprise your significant other on your big day. We can't say for sure but we're making an informed guess that Amareen's husband was spinning in circles with joy on their big day.
