1983's Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron was Kundan Shah's debut and featured a cast of some of Indian cinema's finest talent, from Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri to Ravi Baswani, Pankaj Kaput, Satish Shah and Neena Gupta. Mr Shah's next projects were in television - Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Nukkad, Wagle Ki Duniya and others.
In 1993, 10 years after his debut, Kundan Shah directed Shah Rukh Khan in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. The cast included Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, Deepak Tijori and Ashutosh Gowariker and the film won several awards.
Kundan Shah's other film credits include Kya Kehna, starring Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh, Hum To Mohabbat Karega and Dil Hai Tumhara.
